Extending Communications Fellowships through 2022

Each year we accept applications for two Communications Fellowships for students or early career scholars to work with me on communications projects. These fellowships are meant to extend from January through December. However, in late 2020 and early 2021 we developed a communications policy to better support the Communications Team. This work delayed the fellowship call for applications, reviews, and onboarding.

Our current fellows, Anna Sofia Lippolis and Erdal Ayan began their work with ADHO in June 2021. To ensure that they have the same opportunities as previous fellows who have worked with us most or all of a calendar year—such as completing a special communications project and participating in communications around the Digital Humanities conference—ADHO’s COB have voted to extend their fellowships through December 2022. Anna and Erdal have accepted their extensions, and we are looking forward to working with them over the next year.

This means that we will not be accepting Communications Fellowship applications for 2022. The next round of applications for 2023 will open in November 2022.
